MCI Canada’s expertise in managing exhibitions and end-to-end event management was prominently displayed at the fourth annual #BCTECHSummit. The event, which has become Western Canada’s largest annual innovation conference, attracted more than 3,500 full delegates from 15 different countries and over three dozen unique sectors, showcasing B.C. innovation solving global problems.
MCI Canada was responsible for the comprehensive management of the entire event, including production, staging, design, partnership sales, and managing the expo. Our team contracted and oversaw over 200 exhibitors, providing a platform for large organizations to pitch their business challenges to local and international solution providers. The Investment Showcase gave 50 of Cascadia’s top tech startups an opportunity to pitch to more than 100 local and international investors, while Youth Innovation Day brought together 1,000 high school students to learn about future career opportunities in STEM.
Additionally, the event featured six regional houses, showcasing how technology is driving growth and innovation across the province, and a dozen side events, including nerd nights, boot camps, and offsite parties. An onsite job fair also saw over 800 job seekers meet with 14 hiring companies.
